Top 12 Best London Instagram Accounts to Follow

This month we launched our White Paper about personalisation and loyalty in the luxury hospitality industry. One of the most interesting discussions on the panel at the launch event surrounded the concept of social media as a replacement for TripAdvisor.

Whilst some consider TripAdvisor the holy grail of honest, raw consumer reviews, our panel of experts including Chris Donnelly from Verb Brands, Lysbeth Fox from Fox PR, John Oceallaigh from the Luxury Telegraph, and Ricardo Gato from Cookson Adventures,  explored the increasing value of social media as a review medium for the luxury hospitality industry.

Whilst Oceallaigh from the Telegraph argued that neither were trusted sources, panellists Fox and Gato echoed our thoughts that social media today was an integral part of reviewing a hotel. However, all agreed the impact of this type of marketing could be compromised using crude paid influencer marketing.

Strong evidence suggests that before booking holidays, people are looking to Instagram as a kind of travel guide to decide on their next holiday destination. As a brand, being ‘instagrammable’ and included in lists of users ‘instagrammable places’ can therefore be a strong advantage. From #luxurytravel to live stories, users and influencers alike can produce authentic and often aesthetically pleasing content to amplify your hospitality brand.

We’ve created our instagrammer’s guide for brands, showcasing accounts that promote our city of origin – London. These instagram accounts continue to document amazing places, unique experiences and stunning new angles of London. If you’re based here, we highly recommend involving yourself with these influencers to boost your engagement and raise awareness of your brand.
