The Huxley-Parlour Gallery is a photography gallery between London’s exciting Soho and Mayfair districts. The gallery hosts a vibrant programme of exhibitions throughout the year, showcasing the work of influential artists from around the world including Alec Soth, Joel Sternfeld, Cecil Beaton, Bruce Davidson, Edward Weston, Joel Meyerowitz and Sebastião Salgado. The gallery is popular amongst collectors for both its friendly, welcoming atmosphere and its engaging, educational approach.

We built a custom setup to integrate the site with their in-house stock and exhibition management system, but committing the necessary time and informed strategy meant we achieve the desired look and functionality. The rebrand from Beetles and Huxley to Huxley-Parlour offered it’s own digital challenges from an SEO perspective which the Verb team are working on with the team at the gallery to achieve the online positioning they are looking for as a business.


We took on the challenge of restoring traffic and rankings following a re-brand from Beetles and Huxley to Huxley-Parlour and a resulting domain change on the gallery website. Verb’s SEO team implemented a strategy encompassing targeted keyword research, technical optimisation and creative SEO-driven initiatives in order to increase site traffic and re-gain Huxley-Parlour’s positioning on Google.

Their online performance has been increasingly competitive over the last few months and in November we finally saw numbers surpass previous levels in terms of visitors and conversions on the site.
