Hanro approached Verb to help develop their new dynamic eCommerce store.

01. OVERVIEW

In 1884, Albert Handschin and Carl Ronus founded a knitwear factory in the Swiss town of Liestal, naming it HANRO – and the foundation for an international success story was laid.

Hanro of Switzerland is now one of the most recognised and discerning brands for underwear and clothing brand in the market. Part of the Hanro legacy includes the promises of quality and luxury through the highest quality materials sourced and designed with the utmost attention to detail, state-of-the-art production processes, and a legacy of timeless and classic style.

02. THE BRIEF

The brief was to establish a new powerful platform that would allow the brand to scale the eCommerce operation, improve back of house operations and create a hub for new content to show what is going on in the world of Hanro, new collections press and who’s wearing what.

03. THE CHALLENGE

The Hanro website was struggling significantly with both front end conversion issues, technical issues with regards to checkout and back end operations. Verb began with drawing out a brand documentation to help the brand with a small brand evolution and tidy up. The next stage was to iron out the new content hierarchy and site map which has enabled the brand to directly pursue new keywords through organic search whilst creating a more intuitive website journey.

 

04. THE SOLUTION

Verb redesigned the eCommerce experience to focus on customer and their “search journey”; guiding them through the brand and the homepage towards the right product.

We focused on developing a seamless shopping journey that allowed for quick product identification allowing key information to be presented at a category level and provided multiple product variations on hover to save the user time.

Add to bag, price and size stay at the forefront of the journey to without scrolling to give that further easy of discovery and purchase. Throughout the website there are various intelligent intent-driven pop ups to capture user data as well as push a customer towards the next step in their buying experience.
