Social Media Account Director


To direct a number of social media accounts on the Verb social media team at Verb. To be responsible for ensuring the profitability, success and client satisfaction of the social accounts, tactfully managing client relationships. They will also ensure the growth of the social media team, by supporting New Business pitches as well on boarding of new clients. The Account Director will also support the junior team, with mentorship and training, to see the skillset of the team grow. 

  • To proactively manage and direct the workload of a number of social media accounts on the social media team with a strategic approach (with the support of juniors)
  • To average 5.66 on all Clients CSS (out of 7)
  • To budget accounts efficiently to ensure Verb is making money
  • To grow or maintain a strong engagement rate on client’s core social media channel (typically Instagram)
  • To deliver social media presentation strategies for clients within the luxury industry, covering organic social media presence, paid campaigns and influencer work
  • To manage day to day work when required to
  • To help grow the social team annually by 10-20% with New Business wins (with the support of the Head of Social)
  • To support HR functionalities of the company, such as reviews
  • Uses excellent verbal, written and presentation communication skills
  • Build and maintain excellent relationships at all levels of the business. Client side and internally. 
  • To be able to independently run a social media pitch or proposal 
  • To have a wider understanding of the other digital marketing strategies
  • To be able to deal with the entire pitch process including all contract negotiations, procurement and budget requirements
  • To display excellent leadership and management skills to inspire, educate and grow the social media teams expertise
  • To successfully use cross channel knowledge to lead the client relationship, upsell and support the cross-channel strategy development.
