Tossed are a fast-growing high street salad eatery with a fun-loving brand and a light-hearted tone of voice. They provide healthy, delicious foods for their customers which can be customised and made to suits their own needs.
Tossed approached Verb Brands wanting to refresh their current online presence and in particular boost visits and orders through their current online ordering system.
Website Design, User Experience & Development
The brief was to create an online experience that would immerse the user in the brand. One of the main issues with their previous website was that it didn’t showcase their products and clearly communicate what they offer.
Being a health conscious salad eatery, a nutritional calculator was proposed, allowing users to select different tossed products and even create their own salad which could then be added to a calculator which would total up the calories and nutritional information for those products. The biggest hurdle to overcome was the sheer size of their menu and the various options available to the user.
Using UX techniques along with design knowledge we were able to create an aesthetically pleasing whilst functional calculator area which caters to the user’s needs.
With the use of mobile devices and tablets so high in the digital space it was imperative that tossed’s digital offering was fully responsive and worked flawlessly on devices of all shapes and sizes. Using key design principles and structuring the site in a way that could be easily implemented into the development process we were able to retain the feature-rich desktop offering across all platforms.
