For more than 26 years Modus Fireplaces has been at the forefront of the luxury fireplace industry. They create bespoke fireplaces and supply luxury & designer fireplaces to some of the UK’s most prestigious homes and hotels, as well as collaborating with world renowned architects and designers. Their overriding ethos is that a fireplace should not be viewed simply as a “fireplace” but as a year round piece of beautiful, designer, sculpted furniture providing maximum impact and a cosy, relaxing ambiance.
Verb were contacted to help the business in providing high end luxury web design that would reflect their beautiful fireplace collection. The main project objectives were to conduct a brand evolution & repositioning of the business within the luxury market and to create a powerful customer acquisition tool.
Luxury Web Design & Development
Once the brand evolution was complete, Verb's aim was to design and build the website to communicate the key principles of the Modus Fireplaces brand and position the business at the top end of the luxury homes and hotel market. Using the impressive portfolio of imagery and content, Verb were able to create a refined and luxury experience online where customers could move through a seamless journey, engaging with the brands information layers and exploring the different products that Modus offer. With beautiful wide screen imagery and well articulated navigation and copy - users are now treated to a wonderful aesthetic brand experience. The secondary objective of the website was to help acquire new customers by turning incoming traffic into enquiries. As a result, Verb positioned contact details consistently at the top of the website throughout and made it a sticky element, we also integrated call to actions for customers to enquire with Modus at various content points throughout the website.
Verb utilised the Content Management System Wordpress to give the Modus team the ability to easily manage their website and collection.
The new Modus Fireplaces website was built with both tablet and mobile display at the forefront of Verb's thinking. With such large, impressive imagery, the main challenge was to enable customers to have the same elegant desktop experience across all of their mobile devices. We solved this by creating a responsive web experience, with clever navigation and varying display options that allows maximum viewing of the beautiful, scaling imagery.
