As a critical member of our team, you will be in charge of managing all development through the South Africa team, managing the workflow of the development team and ensuring the quality is of the highest standard.


The Role:

The Digital Project Manager plays an integral role alongside the account management team and Producer / Strategy team in owning and delivering the best service for our clients.

As the Digital Project Manager you will be accountable for driving the successful delivery of the South African studio and ensuring optimal delivery methods are adopted for maximum benefit and efficiency.


You will manage the development aspect of projects from start to finish, ensuring they are within the time and resource budgeted.

Responsibilities:

  • Plans all projects end to end and works with the Head of Production to decide workflow
  • Communicates project plans and job statuses to clients and Account Managers
  • Defines project team (internally and externally).
  • Scheduling and direction of team.
  • Foresees and solves problems around delivery issues.
  • Ensures project documentation is signed and project stages or jobs are formally signed off.
  • Monitors and manages performance of developers and scrutinises timesheets with PMO Admin weekly.
  • Focused on pushing as much revenue through the P&L and utilisation.
  • Advises Head of Talent and HR on +ve/-ve resourcing requirements at least two months ahead of requirements (this requires regular communication with Head of Sales to analyse the pipeline).

Communication:

  • Daily communications with developers, designers and other members of the delivery team to ensure they are on track
  • Initiate short daily Pod meetings with producer and account manager to discuss:
    • Status of projects and any major blockers / issues with proposed solutions
    • Any Specification clarification points (can be taken offline with producer if too detailed)
    • Reprioritise projects with account manager where necessary
  • Detailed discussions with producer around implementation detail before and during writing a specification
  • Daily updates of master schedule
  • Emergency meetings with Business Analyst if Specification has lack of clarity for any reason
  • Send/share updated project plans and updated lists of all tasks to Pod, and then client on a daily or, at least, weekly basis (discretion advised based on client preference and scope of update)

  • Get involved in day to day social media community management when required.

  • Using other analytical tools such as Google Analytics

Essential requirements

  • Previous social media management experience- luxury clients would be a big bonus
  • A solid understanding of how the platforms work and the algorithms
  • Client account management experience
    • To build rapport and feel confident speaking about the subject in an informal setting – i.e. client meet up
    • Excellent client facing skills
  • Paid social management experience and understanding on what sees good success

  • Strong client handling experience, motivated by improving client happiness and have a natural ability to build rapport with people quickly

  • You are curious about all things digital and consistently staying up to date with industry developments.
  • A team player who openly shares knowledge with and supports their colleagues
  • Good understanding of attribution models, understanding the full consumer journey and how social works alongside other marketing channels

WHAT WILL YOU BE DOING?

Thanks to recent large wins we are looking for an Account Executive who is passionate about social media and is keen to learn more. An industry which is forever changing we want to push you to be at the forefront of the industry. We also need someone who is enthusiastic to immerse themselves in the world of our clients. Our team pride themselves of being brand advocates and experts of our luxury clients. No one day is the same.

The role will require you to:

  • Have a deep understanding of how the social media platforms work from a business perspective.
  • Creating compelling content for luxury clients across all social media platforms
  • Have an understanding of differing tones of voice, and visual branding /identity
  • Be passionate, engaged and have a positive enthusiastic approach to work
  • You will feed in to the more senior members in your team
  • Be communicative and a team player
  • You will analyse social media content and performance (we will teach you how!)
  • Stay on top of industry trends and inform the wider team and company
  • You will also work on influencer campaigns and projects
  • Collaborating with other teams – Paid Search, SEO, Display and Content Marketing teams for a holistic marketing strategy

 

WHO ARE YOU?

  • You are obsessed with social media and perhaps one platform in particular
  • You will have an understanding of other marketing channels
  • You may have managed a social media channel for someone else or you may write a blog
  • Enthusiastic and passionate about the world of luxury
  • Excellent communication skills – strong written and spoken English is essential, with emphasis on grammatical prowess – this is KEY.
  • You will be both creative but also logical
  • You will be organised – work well under pressure and able to prioritise tasks
  • Willing to learn and work closely with the  team
  • You will be creative and ambitious
  • Skills in Photoshop / InDesign / image editing tools is a bonus
